Week 28: First time ever in the history of Nascar, has a driver in their Rookie season ever won both events at the Dover Raceway. Rookie Jimmy Johnson picked up his third win of the 2002 season Sunday afternoon in the MBNA All American Heroes 400. Johnson led 170 laps out of
400, taking the bonus on points. Speaking of points, Mark Martin placed second on the afternoon giving him a lead in the Winston Cup points chase by 30 points over Johnson. A close battle for the championship after 28 of the 36 races scheduled in the 2002 season. Following Johnson
and Martin to the line were, Dale Jarrett, Matt Kenseth, and Tony Stewart all in that order. Here
at the F&S Racing Fantasy League, Mike Barker took back over the points lead over Chris Dobson. Barker holds a 5 point lead, while the top five are only seperated by 183 points. Wow what a close race!! We had no players to pick Johnson for the win today, therefor still leading
Shannon Paul still leads that race with 5 wins to his credit. Next week, we're off to Kansas City, Kansas for the Protection One 400. Looks like several different drivers are picked for the win from our players. We'll just wait and see how the picks play out in the points race to the Championship here at the F&S Racing Fantasy. Well until next week, alwat remember to race hard and always race to win..
